One of the destinations in South America preferred by Brazilians, Chile has just announced a series of flexibilizations for entry of tourists. As one of the main changes, the government no longer requires the test for detection of the new coronavirus on disembarkation, and now accepts the RT-PCR negative test – that can be performed in up to 72 hours before embarkation. Formerly, Brazilians had to take a test at the airport and await the result in isolation.
It is worth noting that in the case of stopovers, the valid date of the exam is the date of the last airport before arrival in Chile or – if by land, the period must not exceed 72 hours before crossing the Chilean border. In up to 48 hours before arrival in Chile, tourists must fill in a sworn affidavit for travellers, an electronic form on the site: https://c19.cl/#/. On arrival at Chilean territory, the tourist must present the QR code generated after the filling in of the form.
Furthermore, those interested in disembarking in Chile must have medical insurance of US $30.000,00 that covers the new coronavirus. Lastly, around 30 days before the trip, tourists must fill in a document online with proof of vaccination against Covid-19. The certificate will be ratified by the Chilean government and must be filled in at: https://bit.ly/3NO3EKw
