Even with the rhythm of vaccination quite unequal among countries, tourism will gradually increase between 2021 and 2022. The increase in trips, especially international ones, cannot happen without safety, not only for travelers but also for those who work in airports. Foreseeing the possible increase in the number of flights in the forthcoming periods, ANAC updated the information on its site at the end of April as for the care passengers must take during flights.
Inside the airports, well-known measures are still valid: physical distancing, constant sanitation of hands with soap and water or gel alcohol, and avoidance of crowds. To ensure the safety of everyone on board, ANAC makes sure that the airplanes in the Brazilian fleet have a filtering system that renews oxygen every 3 minutes and captures up to 99% of particles in the air. Furthermore, before every boarding, the whole plane must be cleaned and disinfected, including seats, windows, bathrooms, touchscreens, light and air-conditioning switches, doorknobs and baggage compartments.
Passengers must pay close attention when embarking and disembarking. After landing, they, must wait to be called to leave the plane, following directions from the crew. As for onboard services, movement in corridors must be kept to the minimum and individual packets and well sealed recipients must be used. These measures aim to ensure safety during flights, so that everyone will become accustomed to the new rules that will remain in use when air trips increase from now on.
