PKN played a critical role in ensuring the seamless transportation of cargo for the Games, highlighting its expertise in handling complex global logistics operations.
PKN’s responsibilities included the efficient management of customs clearance processes and the international and domestic transportation of sports equipment, media gear, and other essential materials needed for the event. PKN was also responsible for organizing and carrying out the international transport of horses participating in the equestrian competitions. With the influx of international participants and their specialized equipment, timely and accurate customs processing was crucial to ensure that all items arrived on schedule and in perfect condition. Another key challenge successfully handled was the importation, transportation, and installation of furniture and other items in the Olympic Village apartments.
In addition, the IT management system used to coordinate the Games was developed by FINK’s team of developers, and the official Games Manual—distributed to all delegations, sponsors, and suppliers—was also written by PKN.
Leveraging its extensive network and deep knowledge of international logistics, the company ensured the safe and efficient transport of goods from various parts of the world to the event venues.
