1960 \u2013 BRASILIA is founded and FINK is hired to move the country government institutions from Rio de Janeiro to the new capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The creation of Bras\u00edlia, the new capital of Brazil, marks a significant milestone in the country’s history. Conceived by Juscelino Kubitschek, President of Brazil from 1956 to 1961, the city was designed to promote the development of the interior and integrate the vast national territory. The project for Bras\u00edlia was drawn up by urban planner L\u00facio Costa and architect Oscar Niemeyer, who developed an innovative and modern plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Construction of Bras\u00edlia began in 1956 in a previously unexplored area of the Central Plateau, a region strategically chosen to facilitate the country’s integration. The endeavor involved a true war operation, with the participation of thousands of workers, known as “candangos,” who faced adverse conditions to transform the natural landscape into a functional and aesthetic city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n BRASILIA INAUGURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On April 21, 1960, Bras\u00edlia was officially inaugurated as the capital of Brazil, replacing Rio de Janeiro. The city stood out for its avant-garde architecture, with iconic buildings such as the National Congress, the Pal\u00e1cio da Alvorada, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. The city’s design, with its airplane shape, symbolizes innovation and modernity. FINK was the company chosen to move all the government offices to the new capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The foundation of Bras\u00edlia not only spurred economic development in the central region of Brazil but also reinforced the national identity, consolidating the idea of a united and progressive country.
