Situated in a region that covers territories of Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina (Neum) and Montenegro (Bocas de Cattaro), Dalmatia is on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea (and is known as \u201cthe heart of the Adriatic\u201d), and is divided into four sub-regions that occupy a 50km strip of the sea.<\/p>\n

But on to what\u2019s most interesting about the Dalmatian coast: the islands. The most enthralling, without a shadow of a doubt, is Hvar Island. Proof of this is that it\u2019s the main destination for weddings, especially of celebrities. With organized cultural tourism, the island is charming with the visual harmony of its streets, houses and buildings. The island of Brac is one of the most beautiful, both for its natural forms \u2013 in the beaches of Zlatni Rat and Golden Horn \u2013 and for its buildings, such as the Monastery of Pustinja Blaca.<\/p>\n
But if you\u2019re seeking peace and quiet and relaxation, visit the island Solta: there, you\u2019ll be able leave behind all urban activities and immerse yourself in nature. Lastly, the island of Vis completes our quartet of island tips. Why? That\u2019s because it\u2019s the most important open-air site of Ancient Greek culture in all Croatia, though it\u2019s the farthest from the coast. Especially the Greek colony of Issa, which holds the bronze sculpture of the head of the goddess Artemis, which was found in the sea.
