Home to one of the seven wonders of the natural world, the Igua\u00e7u National Park is noted for its stunning beauty, and contains the largest remaining part of the Atlantic Forest in the southern region of Brazil. Its incredible biodiversity, as well as its main attraction, the magnificent Igua\u00e7u Falls, are only two of its many attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The falls present an impressive scene, formed by a canyon and 275 waterfalls formed by the Igua\u00e7u River, divided between Brazil and Argentina. The Brazilian side is great for enjoying and observing the falls, with walkways projecting over the river, allowing the visitor to walk very close to the falls, and offering an incredible angle from which to observe the natural wonder.<\/span><\/p>\n The Falls Trail is done on these walkways, with 1.2km in length and several panoramic viewpoints. At one of them, there is the Salto Floriano (Floriano Fall), where the waters reach a high point of flow rate, and are sometimes dizzying due to their size. Wild animals are often seen from the panoramic viewpoints, lending everything a magical aura. <\/span><\/p>\n Besides tourism at the falls, the park also offers the Po\u00e7o Preto Trail (Black Well Trail), a 9km ecological walk. There are also other leisure options, such as boat and helicopter rides, hikes, rafting, riding on an oar boat, climbing and tree climbing.<\/span><\/p>\n Considered a Natural Heritage of Humanity, the park and all its attractions are still more impressive during the months of December and January, when the water flow is at its height.<\/span><\/p>\n The sensation of being able to experience from close by a natural spectacle such as this, of being able to be near so many waterfalls, is inexplicably incredible and entrancing, impossible to describe in words.
