Um estudo do Banco UBS, de Zurique, na Suíça, vai facilitar a vida de quem deseja deixar o Brasil rumo a uma vida melhor. Isto porque, de acordo com as informações da pesquisa realizada pela instituição financeira, ficou fácil saber quais são os países com o custo de vida mais elevado e, assim, decidir a viabilidade do projeto de expatriação. Considerando além das necessidades básicas de uma pessoa, como moradia e alimentação, a análise incluiu os gastos com curso de idioma, escola para crianças / curso superior para adolescentes e adultos – e aluguel de local já mobiliado.

De acordo com o levantamento do Banco UBS, que considera o custo de vida para uma família com um ou dois filhos, quem pensa em se mudar para a Suíça, por exemplo, tem de estar pronto para desembolsar um considerável valor mensal. Isso porque a cidade de Genebra encabeça a lista das 10 mais caras do mundo, com nada menos que US$ 6.326,73 exigidos por mês. Com cerca de 200 dólares a menos, Bruxelas, na Bélgica, ocupa a segunda posição no ranking, com média de US$ 6.159,22.

Dubai, maior cidade dos Emirados Árabes, surge como a terceira colocada na lista das cidades mais caras para famílias, exigindo renda mensal de, no mínimo, US$ 5.856,99. Ainda na casa dos 5 mil dólares, mais quatro cidades: Frankfurt, capital financeira da Alemanha ( US$ 5.315,26), a chinesa Hong Kong ( US$ 5.306,12 ), a holandesa Amsterdã, com US$ 5.185,62, e Toronto, no Canadá, com US$ 5.077,28, fechando as 7 primeiras vagas do ranking.

A cidade canadense é a primeira cidade do continente americano a figurar a lista, o que só volta acontecer em 9º lugar, com Santiago, a cidade mais cara da América do Sul, com US$ 3.960,56. Antes disso, na oitava posição, Sidney, na Austrália, representa a Oceania, com US$ 4.779,12. Fechando o Top 10 das cidades mais caras vem Bangkok, capital da Tailândia.

Going beyond a person’s basic needs, such as a dwelling and food, the analysis also includes expenses such as a language course, a school for the children, a higher level course for teenager and adults, and rent for a furnished house.

According to the survey, which considers the cost of living for a family with one or two children and is thinking of moving to Switzerland, for instance, they must be prepared to spend a high monthly value. Geneva heads the list of the 10 most expensive cities in the world, demanding an expenditure of not less than US$6,326.73 per month. With about 200 dollars less, Brussels, in Belgium, takes second place in the ranking, with an average of US$6,159.22.

Dubai, the largest city of the Arab Emirates, comes third on the list, demanding a monthly income of, at least, US$5,850.99. Still in the 5-thousand-dollar range, there are four other cities: Frankfurt, financial capital of Germany (US$5,315.26); Chinese Hong Kong (US$5,306.12); Dutch Amsterdam (US$5,185.62); and Toronto, Canada (US$5,077.12), completing the first seven places in the ranking.

Toronto is the first city in the American continent to appear on the list, a feat only repeated in the 9th place, with Santiago the most expensive city in South America, with US$3,960.56. Before that, in 8th place, is Sydney, Australia, representing Oceania, with US$4,779.12. Closing the Top Ten of the most expensive cities in the world comes Bangkok, capital of Thailand.
