On the list of Latin American countries that pay the most taxes, Brazil comes second only to Cuba. According to the latest research by the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), unemployment has risen in 14 of the 27 federative units in Brazil.
