O que St.Tropez, Ibiza, Malta, Capri, Creta, Santorini e Algarve têm em comum? Prova disto é que se torna o destino de cerimônias de casamento, principalmente entre celebridades. Dona de organizado turismo cultural, a ilha guarda um charme na harmonia visual entre suas ruas, casas e prédios. Já Brac é uma das mais belas, seja das formas naturais – nas praias Zlatni Rat e Golden Horn – seja por suas construções, como o Mosteiro de Pustinja Blaca.

Já se você procura paz, calmaria e uma opção para relaxar, visite a Ilha de Solta: lá, você pode se desconectar de tudo o que há de urbano e, assim, imergir na natureza. They’re beautiful and famous European beaches that attract tourists from all over the planet, but that duel with the little-known – worldwide – Dalmatia, one of the Europeans’ favorite destinations. Situated in a region that covers territories of Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina (Neum) and Montenegro (Bocas de Cattaro), Dalmatia is on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea (and is known as “the heart of the Adriatic”), and is divided into four sub-regions that occupy a 50km strip of the sea.

Part of Dalmatia’s success is due to its warm, clear and limpid waters, even more so than on the Italian coast, owing to the difference in the winds that blow over the Adriatic. Possessing a rich and varied natural and cultural wealth, Dalmatia holds vestiges of the many different civilizations that flourished in the region: Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Franks and Venetians who left imposing monuments and buildings. Another highlight of Dalmatia is its cuisine. From its shellfish and shrimp to cheeses and smoked ham, which make up the specialty dishes: grilled fish, soup and seafood salads.

But on to what’s most interesting about the Dalmatian coast: the islands. The most enthralling, without a shadow of a doubt, is Hvar Island. Proof of this is that it’s the main destination for weddings, especially of celebrities. With organized cultural tourism, the island is charming with the visual harmony of its streets, houses and buildings. The island of Brac is one of the most beautiful, both for its natural forms – in the beaches of Zlatni Rat and Golden Horn – and for its buildings, such as the Monastery of Pustinja Blaca.

But if you’re seeking peace and quiet and relaxation, visit the island Solta: there, you’ll be able leave behind all urban activities and immerse yourself in nature. Lastly, the island of Vis completes our quartet of island tips. Why? That’s because it’s the most important open-air site of Ancient Greek culture in all Croatia, though it’s the farthest from the coast. Especially the Greek colony of Issa, which holds the bronze sculpture of the head of the goddess Artemis, which was found in the sea. Do not miss visiting its natural caverns, such as the blue and green ones, great local attractions.
